Artist's Statement:

I have a strong commitment to working directly from life and so my artwork is created within the great Western tradition of artists such as Manet and Velazquez.  My subject range encompasses portraiture, still life, nudes, landscape or whatever takes my (or my client’s) fancy.

I have been drawing since I was a young child and craft my images lovingly; celebrating the world around us through colour, light and form.  Prominent Melbourne painter, Peter Churcher has spoken of my “…carefully considered and vigorously painted images.”
I conduct drawing and painting classes with adults and with children at my Essendon studio.
